Martha Derocher

I have loved art my entire life; fortunately as a child I was encouraged to be creative. Although I have taken art classes I do not have an art degree.

When I got married and started a family I worked outside the home. My career was in health care business administration. My children are now grown with families of their own.

I am thrilled to have rediscovered my creative self. My goal is to generate positive emotions in those viewing my work. My style today is much different than when I was young, amazing where life’s experiences take you. I would describe my work as representational, abstract and impressionistic. I enjoy working in acrylic, ink, colored pencil, marker and oils. I thoroughly enjoy incorporating vibrant color in many of my pieces. Much of my inspiration comes from my grandchildren and my faith.
