Becca Mulenburg - Arts Mill Member
This is one bird that was making impressions right out of its nest. The artist and two young marina employees swooned over this newborn swallow as it perched on a ledge near the door to Port Washington’s coast guard station. Becca Mulenburg’s newest bird painting, “Tugboat (Chuckles) Charlie”, is named after a tugboat that was docked nearby. “I’m sure I was one of the first humans it saw. He reminded me of the book Are you my mother? by P.D. Eastman that was read to me as a child. His expression was marvelous. I couldn’t resist painting him.”
10% net profits from the artist’s bird art sales are donated annually to U.S. bird conservation organizations. |
