Ali Brown
In 2004, I was teaching in a village in the tiny South African country of Lesotho. To keep myself from getting frustrated by the day-to-day cultural mishaps, and to amuse my American roommate, I began sketching cartoons of these moments – and fell in love with the process. Though I spent the next seven years teaching or running a non-profit, I never stopped sketching and creating during my free moments. I am thrilled to finally have the opportunity to focus on my cartoons, illustrations and jewelry at the Arts Mill. I live in Grafton with my husband and our one-year-old daughter, Lucy.
