Laura Weber Basketry
I arise in the morning torn between the desire to improve the world, and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day. -E.B.White

I learned basketmaking in the 1990s but didn’t commit to creating baskets as art until March of 2012, when the reality of the proverbial empty nest set in. I was thrilled and honored to be invited into an Artist Co-Op, The Arts Mill in Grafton, WI, where I am mentored and supported by an amazing group of artists. If you are in the Milwaukee area, please stop in for a visit. There are many wonderful shops, art studios and galleries in Grafton, the neighboring Cedarburg, and throughout the surrounding area.
