Arts Mill – Artists In Residence Studio Programs are designed to support artists, the creative process, and the development of new ideas and work. These programs provide opportunities for research, experimentation, professional development and peer-to-peer exchange and – ultimately – aim to foster creative breakthroughs and new modes of working and thinking.

By bringing together local, national, and international artists from a wide range of mediums, our programs enable the exchange of ideas and approaches that help catalyze new cultural and social perspectives.  Artists are required to be in the studio 2 days weekly during open gallery hours.

Artists are asked to apply by:

  • Submitting 5 – 10 jpegs of their work
  • A current art resume
  • An artist statement

NSAA’s Arts Mill Artists in Residence programs foster cultural awareness by bringing in, supporting and showcasing artists (along with their art, styles and methods) that our local communities may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. Our program benefits local, national and international artists and our communities.

Port Washington State Bank is sponsoring studio space for visiting artists at The Arts Mill, in support of their new Artists Studio Programs. These programs are designed to assist artists, the creative process, and the development of new ideas and new work. These program will also provide opportunities for research, experimentation, professional development, and peer-to-peer exchange — and ultimately aim to foster creative breakthroughs and new modes of working and thinking.
